Shipping, returns and policies

Where we ship
We ship within the 50 United States. We do not ship to Washington DC, US territories, military APO, FPO or DPO addresses, or outside the United States.
Shipping
Orders can ship from more than one location, so one order may arrive in more than one box, on different days, each with its own tracking number. Tracking numbers appear on your order page as each box ships.
You see the shipping options and the full shipping charge at checkout, before you pay. For each box you choose the lowest cost option, the fastest, or one in between when one is offered.
Delivery times shown at checkout are carrier estimates, not guarantees. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, supply or other causes outside our control, and a delay is not a reason for a refund of shipping.
Title and risk of loss pass to you when your order is handed to the carrier. If a box is lost or damaged in transit, we help you file the claim with the carrier.
Please check your shipping address before you pay. If a shipment is refused, cannot be delivered after the carrier's attempts, or went to the address you gave in error, you pay the cost of its return and of sending it again.
Damaged, missing, wrong or lost shipments
Check your order as soon as it arrives, before you install anything.
We must report damage, missing parts and wrong parts within a short window, so tell us within 12 hours of delivery at service@q40motorsports.com. A late report can delay your claim. Include your order number, photos of the part, every side of the box, and the shipping label.
Damaged or lost in transit. Title and risk of loss pass to you when your order is handed to the carrier (see Shipping). If a box arrives damaged, or tracking shows it delivered and you do not have it, tell us within 12 hours of the delivery scan. We file the claim with the carrier or help you file it. When the carrier pays the claim, we send a replacement or refund the amount it paid, up to what you paid for that part and its shipping.
Wrong or missing part. If a part is missing from a box or the wrong part arrived, send photos of what arrived and of the label. Once we confirm it, we send the right part or refund that part and its shipping charge. Do not install a wrong part: an installed or altered part cannot be claimed.
Keep every piece of packaging until the claim is settled. The carrier may need to inspect it. If the packaging is thrown away, the claim cannot be made and we cannot replace or refund the part.
Freight deliveries: look at the shipment before you sign. Write any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt (the Bill of Lading) before you sign it. A receipt signed with no notes can end the claim.
If tracking stops moving, contact us and we will check with the carrier.
Under this section, the only remedy is a replacement, or a refund of the part and its shipping charge. We do not pay for labor, installation, towing, rental cars, lost time or other costs.
Cancellations
To cancel, email service@q40motorsports.com with your order number as soon as you can. We process orders quickly, so we cannot promise a cancellation. An order is cancelled only when we email you to confirm it; then we refund it in full.
Once an order is processed or shipped, it cannot be cancelled. You may be able to return it under Returns, and the return rules and fees apply.
Special order parts are made or set aside for your order. Once ordered, they cannot be cancelled or returned.
Returns and refunds
Ask first. Email service@q40motorsports.com with your order number, the part number and the reason. Do not ship anything until we send you a return number (RMA) and the return address.
Ship the part within 5 days of getting the RMA, with the RMA number clearly on the box and the label. A box without it is refused. The return must arrive within 25 days of the date your order shipped; a late return is refused.
The part must be new, unused, uninstalled, unmodified and complete, in its original packaging, fit to sell again. Every return is inspected and must be approved.
Final sale, no returns: special order parts; clearance parts; electrical and electronic parts, including tuners, gauges, sensors and wiring; coilovers; engine internals; turbochargers, turbocharger kits and superchargers; opened fluids and chemicals; any part that has been installed, modified or damaged after delivery.
Return shipping is yours to pay. Insure it. If it is lost or damaged on the way back, the claim is yours with your carrier.
The restocking fee depends on when you email us: none if you email within 10 days of delivery, 15% of the part price if you email later. A $10 repackaging fee applies when the original packaging is missing or not fit to sell. Both come out of your refund.
Refunds go to your original payment method after the return is accepted: the part price and any tax on it, minus fees. The original shipping charge is not refunded. Damaged, missing and wrong parts are handled under Damaged, missing, wrong or lost shipments, not here.
Warranty
Q40 Motorsports gives no warranty of its own. A part is covered only by its manufacturer's warranty, on the manufacturer's terms. Some parts, including many racing parts, have no warranty.
To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To make a claim, email service@q40motorsports.com with your order number, the part number, photos and what went wrong. We pass it on for the manufacturer's decision. You get a replacement or credit only if the manufacturer inspects the part and approves the claim, and only what the manufacturer gives. Shipping the part in is your cost unless the manufacturer covers it. Labor, removal, installation, towing, rental cars and damage to other parts are not covered.
Fitment
Making sure a part fits your vehicle is your job, before you order. Product details, fitment notes and pictures come from manufacturers. They can be incomplete or wrong, and a picture may show a similar part.
Where the site shows a part for a vehicle, including in the garage, that comes from the manufacturer's own description. It is a guide, not a promise that the part fits your car. Options, earlier changes and build date all matter.
Check the part number with the manufacturer or a qualified installer before you order and before you install. Test fit before you cut, drill, paint or install anything.
If you ask before you order, we can ask the manufacturer to confirm fitment for your vehicle.
A part that does not fit is not our error. It can be returned only under Returns: uninstalled, inside the window, with the fees.
Emissions, California and off-road parts
Some parts are sold for off-road and competition use only, and the product page says so. They are not for use on public roads. You buy them for that use only.
We do not ship a part that is not legal for sale in California to a California address unless the part carries a CARB Executive Order (EO) number. If one is ordered, we cancel that part and refund it. Every part shipped to a California address is sold for off-road use only.
You are responsible for following the emissions, equipment and road laws of your state and of the United States. A performance part can make a vehicle fail inspection and can affect its warranty and registration.
Some products carry a California Proposition 65 warning from their manufacturer.
Installation and safety
Performance parts change how a vehicle runs, stops and handles. We strongly recommend installation by a qualified professional. Instructions come from the manufacturer; we do not give installation instructions or support.
Racing and off-road driving are dangerous. You use these parts at your own risk, including the risk of injury, and you are responsible for installing, inspecting and using them safely.
Installing a part can void your vehicle warranty, change your insurance, or make your vehicle fail inspection.
Prices, errors and stock
Prices, stock and shipping options can change at any time until you pay.
Your confirmation email means we received your order. We accept it when it ships.
If a price on the site is wrong, we may cancel the order, or the part at the wrong price, and refund what you paid for it, even after payment and confirmation.
If a part is not available after you pay, we tell you by email, refund that part right away and ship the rest.
Shipping is charged from the carrier options you pick at checkout. If the cost to ship changes before your order ships, we never charge more without your yes; if you say no, we cancel and refund.
Sales tax is charged where the law requires, and shows at checkout before you pay.
Privacy
How we handle your information is on our Privacy page. To fill your order, we share your name, shipping address, phone and order details with the companies that ship and deliver it. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not receive or store your full card number.
