Our story
We wrenched it. We raced it. We recommend it.
Q40 Motorsports started as a shop in Tigard, Oregon, in 2019. We fitted race seats, fabricated, built engines, installed turbos and superchargers, and did restorations, like a Mitsubishi Mighty Max brought back to driving condition. We did oil changes and check ups on every make that rolled in, and the Old Sols car club met at our shop before a cruise to Tillamook.
And we raced. We rented race cars to drivers in the Lucky Dog Racing League. From 2014 to 2019 we were the crew chief and support crew for a 20 foot front engine dragster in the NHRA semi-pro nostalgia class. We supported customer cars in IMSA, NASCAR and more. We have been trackside from Portland International Raceway and Pacific Raceways to Sonoma Raceway and Laguna Seca.
In August 2024 we closed the shop doors to the public. We never stopped building race cars and engines. Today Q40 calls Dundee, Oregon home.
This website is how we move forward: supporting our racing teams, along with custom builds. Now the parts counter is online. Q40 Motorsports is run by Q, a Marine combat veteran, with an all active duty and veteran team, including Naval officer and NASCAR driver Jesse Iwuji.
